To amend title 38, United States Code, to direct the Sec-
retary of Veterans Affairs to furnish hyperbaric oxygen
therapy to veterans with traumatic brain injury or post-
traumatic stress disorder.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-1

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3
This Act may be cited as the ‘‘TBI and PTSD Treat-4
ment Act’’. 5

SEC. 2. HYPERBARIC OXYGEN THERAPY FOR VETERANS 1
WITH TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY OR POST- 2
TRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDER. 3
(a) I
NGENERAL.—Chapter 17 of title 38, United 4
States Code, is amended by inserting after section 1710E 5
the following new section: 6
‘‘§ 1710F. Traumatic brain injury and post-traumatic 7
stress disorder: hyperbaric oxygen ther-8
apy 9
‘‘(a) A
UTHORITY.—The Secretary shall furnish 10
hyperbaric oxygen therapy to a veteran who has a condi-11
tion specified in subsection (b) through a health care pro-12
vider described in section 1703(c)(5) of this title. 13
‘‘(b) C
OVEREDCONDITIONS.—The conditions speci-14
fied in this subsection are the following: 15
‘‘(1) Traumatic brain injury. 16
‘‘(2) Post-traumatic stress disorder.’’. 17
(b) C
LERICALAMENDMENT.—The table of sections 18
at the beginning of such chapter is amended by inserting 19
after the item relating to section 1710E the following new 20
item: 21
‘‘1710F. Traumatic brain injury and post-traumatic stress disorder: hyperbaric
oxygen therapy.’’.
