expensing of environmental remediation costs.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-1
tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3
This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Brownfields Redevelop-4
ment Tax Incentive Reauthorization Act of 2025’’. 5
SEC. 2. EXTENSION OF EXPENSING OF ENVIRONMENTAL 6
REMEDIATION COSTS. 7
(a) I
NGENERAL.—Section 198(h) of the Internal 8
Revenue Code of 1986 is amended by striking ‘‘incurred 9

after December 31, 2011’’ and inserting the following: 1
‘‘incurred— 2
‘‘(1) after December 31, 2011, and before Jan-3
uary 1, 2025, or 4
‘‘(2) after December 31, 2028.’’. 5
(b) E
FFECTIVEDATE.—The amendment made by 6
subsection (a) shall apply to expenditures paid or incurred 7
after December 31, 2024. 8
