3333 NGENERAL.—The Secretary shall conduct a 3
3434 study of the national security risks posed by consumer 4
3535 routers, modems, and devices that combine a modem and 5
3636 router that are designed, developed, manufactured, or sup-6
3737 plied by persons owned by, controlled by, or subject to the 7
3838 influence of a covered country. 8
3939 (b) R
4040 EPORT TOCONGRESS.—Not later than 1 year 9
4141 after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary 10
4242 shall submit to the Committee on Energy and Commerce 11
4343 of the House of Representatives and the Committee on 12
4444 Commerce, Science, and Transportation of the Senate a 13
4545 report on the results of the study conducted under sub-14
4646 section (a). 15

5050 OVERED COUNTRY .—The term ‘‘covered 17
5151 country’’ means a country specified in section 18
