6161 (2) TREATMENT OF REVISION .—The revised 1
6262 voluntary standard shall be considered to be a con-2
6363 sumer product safety standard issued by the Com-3
6464 mission under section 9 of the Consumer Product 4
6565 Safety Act (15 U.S.C. 2058), effective 180 days 5
6666 after the date on which the organization notifies the 6
6767 Commission (or such later date specified by the 7
6868 Commission in the Federal Register) unless, within 8
6969 90 days after receiving that notice, the Commission 9
7070 notifies the organization that it has determined that 10
7171 the proposed revision, in whole or in part, does not 11
7272 improve the safety of the consumer product covered 12
7373 by the standard and that the Commission is retain-13
7474 ing the existing consumer product safety standard. 14

7676 REATMENT OF STANDARD.—A standard pro-15
7777 mulgated under this section, including a revision of such 16
7878 standard adopted by the Commission, shall be treated as 17
7979 a consumer product safety rule promulgated under section 18
8080 9 of the Consumer Product Safety Act (15 U.S.C. 2058). 19

9393 sions, and other hazards relating to lithium-ion bat-2
9494 teries used in micromobility products during the pe-3
9595 riod beginning on the date of enactment of this Act 4
9696 and ending on the report date. 5

9898 ONTENT.—The report required by para-6
9999 graph (1) shall describe, at a minimum— 7
100100 (A) the source of the information that was 8
101101 provided to the Commission regarding the fire, 9
102102 explosion, or other hazard; 10
103103 (B) the make and model of the lithium-ion 11
104104 battery and micromobility product that resulted 12
105105 in a fire, explosion, or other hazard, if known; 13
106106 (C) whether a lithium-ion battery involved 14
107107 in a fire, explosion, or other hazard complied 15
108108 with the standard required by this section, if 16
109109 known; and 17
110110 (D) if known, the manufacturer and coun-18
111111 try of manufacture of a lithium-ion battery that 19
112112 resulted in a fire, explosion, or other hazard. 20
