13	13	Impeaching John Deacon Bates, a judge of the United States
14	14	District Court for the District of Columbia, for high
15	15	crimes and misdemeanors.
16	16	Resolved, That John Deacon Bates, a judge of the 1
17	17	United States District Court for the District of Columbia, 2
18	18	is impeached for high crimes and misdemeanors, and that 3
19	19	the following article of impeachment be exhibited to the 4
20	20	Senate: 5
21	21	Article of impeachment exhibited by the House of 6
22	22	Representatives of the United States of America in the 7
23	23	name of itself and of the people of the United States of 8
24	24	America, against John Deacon Bates, a judge of the 9
25	25	United States District Court for the District of Columbia, 10

30	30	him for high crimes and misdemeanors. 2

33	33	John Deacon Bates, a judge of the United States 5
34	34	District Court for the District of Columbia, engaged in 6
35	35	a pattern of conduct that is incompatible with the trust 7
36	36	and confidence placed in him as a Federal judge, as fol-8
37	37	lows: 9
38	38	Judge Bates ordered the Centers for Disease Control 10
39	39	and Prevention (CDC), the Department of Health and 11
40	40	Human Services (HHS), and the Food and Drug Adminis-12
41	41	tration (FDA) to restore socially divisive and destructive 13
42	42	LGBTQI+ content on taxpayer subsidized government 14
43	43	webpages, in contravention of Executive Order 14168 15
44	44	(January 20, 2025): 16
45	45	Judge Bates, in granting a temporary restraining 17
46	46	order to the far-left organization, Doctors for America, ar-18
47	47	gued that ‘‘by removing long relied upon medical resources 19
48	48	without explanation, it is likely that the [sic] each agency 20
49	49	failed to ‘examine the relevant data and articulate a satis-21
50	50	factory explanation for its action’’’. He further argued 22
51	51	that the agencies did not consider ‘‘the substantial reliance 23
52	52	by medical professionals on the removed webpages’’. 24
53	53	Judge Bates failed to consider that these webpages 25
54	54	maintained informational resources on gender affirming 26

58	58	care—better described as the intentional surgical or chem-1
59	59	ical castration of children—and that at no time in the his-2
60	60	tory of the American judicial system, until very recently, 3
61	61	would judges have considered the purposeful damage to 4
62	62	the bodies of healthy young men and women to be a com-5
63	63	pelling or even legitimate health concern. To the contrary, 6
64	64	it is the opinion of this Congress that the continued social-7
65	65	ization of this grave moral evil necessitates immediate ac-8
66	66	tion against those who would promote it. 9
67	67	Accordingly, Judge John Deacon Bates, has engaged 10
68	68	in conduct so utterly lacking in intellectual honesty and 11
69	69	basic integrity that he is guilty of high crimes and mis-12
70	70	demeanors, is unfit to hold the office of Federal judge, 13
71	71	and should be removed from office. 14
