21	21	Designating March 27, 2025, as ‘‘National Women in
22	22	Agriculture Day’’.
23	23	Whereas the United States proudly recognizes agriculture as
24	24	one of the most impactful industries of the United States
25	25	and acknowledges the countless women who help agri-
26	26	culture prosper both in the United States and abroad;
27	27	Whereas there are more than 1,200,000 female agricultural
28	28	producers in the United States, making up more than
29	29	1

31	31	of the agricultural producers in the United States;
32	32	Whereas, in 2022, farms operated by women in the United
33	33	States sold $222,000,000,000 in agricultural products,

37	37	accounting for 36 percent of the total agriculture sales in
38	38	the United States for that year;
39	39	Whereas, in addition to leading farming operations, women
40	40	working in agriculture make a difference across the
41	41	United States in various commodity and industry fields,
42	42	including research and development, manufacturing, sales
43	43	and distribution, agricultural education, agribusiness, and
44	44	advocacy, which extend benefits to individuals across the
45	45	globe through the international trade of the United
46	46	States;
47	47	Whereas the United States recognizes that women are vital
48	48	in fostering the next generation of the agricultural work-
49	49	force by promoting science, technology, engineering,
50	50	mathematics, and agricultural education and entrepre-
51	51	neurial and community initiatives by serving as mentors
52	52	for the 4–H Program, the National FFA Organization,
53	53	the Cooperative Extension System, and numerous post-
54	54	secondary agricultural science educator programs;
55	55	Whereas March is National Women’s History Month; and
56	56	Whereas female professionals, instructors, and leaders in the
57	57	agricultural field should be celebrated for their efforts
58	58	during National Ag Week, which takes place between
59	59	March 23 and March 29, 2025: Now, therefore, be it
60	60	Resolved, That the House of Representatives— 1
61	61	(1) recognizes the important role of women in 2
62	62	agriculture as producers, educators, leaders, men-3
63	63	tors, and more; and 4
64	64	(2) encourages all citizens to— 5
65	65	(A) recognize women working in agri-6
66	66	culture; and 7
