10 | 10 | | Ms. F |

13 | 13 | | RESOLUTION |

14 | 14 | | Recognizing that the retirement of nonintermittent electric |

15 | 15 | | generation facilities, before facilities with equal or greater |
---|
16 | 16 | | reliability attributes are available, is a threat to the |
---|
17 | 17 | | reliability of the United States electric grid. |
---|
18 | 18 | | Whereas the North American Electric Reliability Corporation, |
---|
19 | 19 | | in the 2024 Long-Term Reliability Assessment, identified |
---|
20 | 20 | | several transmission regions as being at elevated or high |

21 | 21 | | risk of electricity shortages during extreme weather con- |

22 | 22 | | ditions or normal peak conditions, including— |

23 | 23 | | (1) the Electric Reliability Council of Texas; |

45 | 45 | | considers the retirement of hydrocarbon-powered genera- |

50 | 50 | | overall electric grid reliability; |
---|
51 | 51 | | Whereas the North American Electric Reliability Corporation |
---|
52 | 52 | | acknowledges that natural gas pipelines are not being |

53 | 53 | | added to the United States resource mix fast enough to |
