RESOLUTION
Of inquiry requesting the President and directing the Secre-
taries of the Treasury and Labor to transmit, respec-
tively, certain documents to the House of Representatives
relating to the effect on local economies and communities
of the Department of Government Efficiency and newly-
imposed tariffs.
Resolved, That the President of the United States is 1
requested, and the Secretaries of the Treasury and Labor 2
are directed, to transmit, to the extent that such docu-3
ments are in the possession of the President or the Secre-4

taries, to the House of Representatives, not later than 14 1
days after the date of adoption of this resolution, copies 2
of any document, record, audio recording, memorandum, 3
call log, correspondence (electronic or otherwise), written 4
agreements, reports, studies, or other communication or 5
any portion of any such communication, that refers or re-6
lates to the following: 7
(1) The reduction in the local area gross domes-8
tic product of State, regional, or local economies re-9
sulting from the mass layoffs of Federal workers, 10
and lease terminations, recommended by Depart-11
ment of Government Efficiency (hereafter referred 12
to as ‘‘DOGE’’), including, but not limited to, em-13
ployees of the Internal Revenue Service and staff at 14
local and regional Social Security offices. 15
(2) The number of unemployed workers since 16
January 20, 2025, the unemployment rate increase, 17
the increase in unemployment duration, the increase 18
in the total unemployment claims, or the impact on 19
Federal performance measurements in the unem-20
ployment insurance program in affected communities 21
that experienced reductions in force (RIFs), termi-22
nations of probationary employees by DOGE, or ter-23
mination of large Federal contracts, including any 24

such information stated separately by State, region, 1
or local community. 2
(3) The projected change in the cost of im-3
ported goods subject to tariffs imposed on Canada, 4
Mexico, or any other country since January 20, 5
2025, including any such information determined at 6
the national, State, regional, or local level. 7
