A BILL
To reauthorize the program to support residential treatment
programs for pregnant and postpartum women, and for
other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-1
tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3
This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Pregnant and 4
Postpartum Women Treatment Reauthorization Act’’. 5
SEC. 2. REAUTHORIZATION OF PROGRAM. 6
Section 508 of the Public Health Service Act (42 7
U.S.C. 290bb–1) is amended— 8

(1) in subsection (d)(11)(C), by striking ‘‘pro-1
viding health services’’ and inserting ‘‘providing 2
health care services’’; 3
(2) in subsection (g)— 4
(A) by inserting ‘‘a plan describing’’ after 5
‘‘will provide’’; and 6
(B) by adding at the end the following: 7
‘‘Such plan may include a description of how 8
such applicant will target outreach to women 9
disproportionately impacted by maternal sub-10
stance use disorder.’’; and 11
(3) in subsection (s), by striking ‘‘$29,931,000 12
for each of fiscal years 2019 through 2023’’ and in-13
serting ‘‘$38,931,000 for each of fiscal years 2025 14
through 2029’’. 15
