To amend title 49, United States Code, to modify a provision
relating to criminal penalties for damaging or destroying
pipeline facilities, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-1

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3
This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Safe and Secure 4
Transportation of American Energy Act’’. 5
SEC. 2. CRIMINAL PENALTIES. 6
Section 60123(b) of title 49, United States Code, is 7
amended by striking ‘‘damaging or destroying’’ and insert-8
