To reauthorize the program for strengthening communities
of recovery for individuals with substance use disorders.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-1
tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3
This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Strengthening Commu-4
nities of Recovery Act’’. 5
SEC. 2. STRENGTHENING COMMUNITIES OF RECOVERY. 6
Section 547 of the Public Health Service Act (42 7
U.S.C. 290ee–2) is amended— 8
(1) in the section heading, by striking ‘‘

ING’’ and inserting ‘‘STRENGTHENING ’’; 10

(2) in subsection (d)(2)(A), in the matter pre-1
ceding clause (i), by inserting ‘‘or strengthen’’ after 2
‘‘build’’; and 3
(3) in subsection (f), by striking ‘‘$5,000,000 4
for each of fiscal years 2019 through 2023’’ and in-5
serting ‘‘$16,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2025 6
through 2029’’. 7
