basic allowance for housing inside the United States
for members of the uniformed services.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-1
tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3
This Act may be cited as the ‘‘BAH Restoration 4
Act’’. 5
SEC. 2. INCREASE IN BASIC ALLOWANCE FOR HOUSING IN-6
SIDE THE UNITED STATES FOR MEMBERS OF 7
THE UNIFORMED SERVICES. 8
Paragraph (3) of section 403(b) of title 37, United 9
States Code, is amended to read as follows: 10

‘‘(3) The monthly amount of the basic allowance for 1
housing for an area of the United States for a member 2
of a uniformed service shall be the amount of the monthly 3
cost of adequate housing in that area, as determined by 4
the Secretary of Defense, for members of the uniformed 5
services serving in the same pay grade and with the same 6
dependency status as the member.’’. 7
