A BILL 
To amend title 18, United States Code, to discontinue the 
collection by the Federal Government of firearm trans-
action records of discontinued firearms businesses, to 
require the destruction of such already collected records, 
and for other purposes. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-1
tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3
This Act may be cited as the ‘‘No Retaining Every 4
Gun In a System That Restricts Your Rights Act’’. 5

SEC. 2. DESTRUCTION OF BUREAU OF ALCOHOL, TOBACCO, 1
FIREARMS, AND EXPLOSIVES FIREARM 2
TRANSACTION RECORDS OF DISCONTINUED 3
FIREARMS BUSINESSES. 4
(a) I
NGENERAL.—Not later than 90 days after the 5
date of enactment of this Act, the Director of the Bureau 6
of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives shall de-7
stroy each firearm transaction record delivered to the At-8
torney General under section 923(g)(4) of title 18, United 9
States Code. 10

REVENTING FUTUREFIREARMREGISTRA-11
TION.—Section 923(g)(4) of title 18, United States Code, 12
is amended by striking the second and third sentences. 13
SEC. 3. REPORT TO CONGRESS. 14
The Director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, 15
Firearms, and Explosives shall submit to Congress a writ-16
ten report that specifies the number of firearm transaction 17
records destroyed under section 2(a). 18
