1919 This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Recover Fraudulent 4
2020 COVID Funds Act’’. 5

2424 EFINITIONS.—In this section— 8

5959 XTENSION OFSTATUTE OFLIMITATIONS.— 3

6161 RIMES.—No person shall be prosecuted, 4
6262 tried, or punished for any pandemic-era program 5
6363 violation that is a criminal offense unless the indict-6
6464 ment is found or the information is instituted— 7
6565 (A) notwithstanding section 3282(a) of 8
6666 title 18, United States Code, within 10 years 9
6767 after such offense shall have been committed; or 10
6868 (B) within such longer period of years 11
6969 after such offense shall have been committed as 12
7070 is otherwise provided by law. 13

7272 ARIFF ACT OF 1930.—Notwithstanding sec-14
7373 tion 621 of the Tariff Act of 1930 (19 U.S.C. 15
7474 1621), no civil action, suit, or proceeding for the for-16
7575 feiture of property accruing under the customs laws 17
7676 of the United States related to a pandemic-era pro-18
7777 gram violation shall be instituted unless such civil 19
7878 action, suit, or proceeding is commenced within 10 20
7979 years after the time when the alleged pandemic-era 21
8080 program violation was discovered, or within 3 years 22
8181 after the time when the involvement of the property 23
8282 in the alleged pandemic-era program violation was 24
8383 discovered, whichever was later, except that the time 25

9292 ALSE CLAIMS.— 5
9393 (A) I
9494 N GENERAL.—Notwithstanding sec-6
9595 tion 3731(b)(1) of title 31, United States Code, 7
9696 a civil action under section 3730 of such title 8
9797 alleging a violation of section 3729 of such title 9
9898 that is a pandemic-era program violation may 10
9999 not be brought more than 10 years after the 11
100100 date on which the violation was committed. 12

102102 OTICE.—Notwithstanding section 13
103103 3808 of title 31, United States Code, a notice 14
104104 to the person alleged to be liable with respect 15
105105 to a claim or statement that involves a pan-16
106106 demic-era violation shall be mailed or delivered 17
107107 in accordance with section 3803(d)(1) of such 18
108108 title not later than 10 years after the date on 19
109109 which the violation of section 3802 of such title 20
110110 is committed. 21
