24 | 24 | | NGENERAL.—Schedule I of section 202(c) of 7 |

37 | 37 | | ‘‘(2) In paragraph (1), the term ‘fentanyl-related sub-8 |

38 | 38 | | stances’ includes any substance that is structurally related 9 |
---|
39 | 39 | | to fentanyl by 1 or more of the following modifications: 10 |

40 | 40 | | ‘‘(A) By replacement of the phenyl portion of 11 |
---|
41 | 41 | | the phenethyl group by any monocycle, whether or 12 |
---|
42 | 42 | | not further substituted in or on the monocycle. 13 |
---|
43 | 43 | | ‘‘(B) By substitution in or on the phenethyl 14 |
---|
44 | 44 | | group with alkyl, alkenyl, alkoxyl, hydroxyl, halo, 15 |
---|
45 | 45 | | haloalkyl, amino, or nitro groups. 16 |
---|
46 | 46 | | ‘‘(C) By substitution in or on the piperidine 17 |
---|
47 | 47 | | ring with alkyl, alkenyl, alkoxyl, ester, ether, 18 |
---|
48 | 48 | | hydroxyl, halo, haloalkyl, amino, or nitro groups. 19 |

49 | 49 | | ‘‘(D) By replacement of the aniline ring with 20 |
