| 35 | 35 | | ferred to as the ‘‘National Academies’’), under which the 8 |

| 36 | 36 | | National Academies shall conduct a study on the preva-9 |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | lence and mortality of cancers among covered individuals. 10 |

| 39 | 39 | | TUDY.—The study required under subsection (a) 11 |

| 40 | 40 | | shall— 12 |
|---|
| 41 | 41 | | (1) identify exposures associated with military 13 |
|---|
| 42 | 42 | | occupations of covered individuals, including relating 14 |
|---|
| 43 | 43 | | to chemicals, compounds, agents, and other phe-15 |
|---|
| 44 | 44 | | nomena; 16 |
|---|
| 45 | 45 | | (2) review the literature to determine associa-17 |
|---|
| 46 | 46 | | tions between exposures referred to in paragraph (1) 18 |
|---|
| 47 | 47 | | and the incidence or prevalence of overall cancer 19 |
|---|
| 48 | 48 | | morbidity, overall cancer mortality, and increased in-20 |
|---|
| 49 | 49 | | cidence or prevalence of— 21 |
