3434 NGENERAL.—The Secretary shall conduct a 3
3535 study of the national security risks posed by consumer 4
3636 routers, modems, and devices that combine a modem and 5
3737 router that are designed, developed, manufactured, or sup-6
3838 plied by persons owned by, controlled by, or subject to the 7
3939 influence of a covered country. 8

4141 EPORT TOCONGRESS.—Not later than 1 year 9
4242 after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary 10
4343 shall submit to the Committee on Energy and Commerce 11
4444 of the House of Representatives and the Committee on 12
4545 Commerce, Science, and Transportation of the Senate a 13
4646 report on the results of the study conducted under sub-14
4747 section (a). 15

5151 OVERED COUNTRY .—The term ‘‘covered 17
5252 country’’ means a country specified in section 18
