7171 REAS.—The standard time for a State that has exempted 6
7272 itself from the provisions of section 3(a) of the Uniform 7
7373 Time Act of 1966 (15 U.S.C. 260a(a)), as in effect on 8
7474 the day before the date of the enactment of the Sunshine 9
7575 Protection Act of 2025, pursuant to such section or an 10
7676 area of a State that has exempted such area from such 11
7777 provisions pursuant to such section shall be, as such State 12
7878 considers appropriate— 13
7979 ‘‘(1) the standard time for such State or area, 14
8080 as the case may be, pursuant to subsection (a) of 15
8181 this section; or 16
8282 ‘‘(2) the standard time for such State or area, 17
8383 as the case may be, pursuant to subsection (a) of 18
8484 this section as it was in effect on the day before the 19
8585 date of the enactment of the Sunshine Protection 20
8686 Act of 2025.’’. 21
