1515 tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2
1616 SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3
1717 This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Protect Our Seniors 4
1818 Act’’. 5
1919 SEC. 2. POINT OF ORDER FOR REDUCTIONS IN MEDICARE 6
2020 AND SOCIAL SECURITY BENEFITS. 7
2121 Section 301 of the Congressional Budget Act of 1974 8
2222 (2 U.S.C. 632) is amended by adding at the end the fol-9

3131 N GENERAL.—It shall not be in order in 3
3232 the Senate to consider any bill or resolution (or 4
3333 amendment, motion, or conference report on that bill 5
3434 or resolution) that would reduce benefits under the 6
3535 Medicare program under title XVIII of the Social 7
3636 Security Act (42 U.S.C. 1395 et seq.) or benefits 8
3737 payable under title II of that Act (42 U.S.C. 401 et 9
3838 seq.). 10
3939 ‘‘(2) W
4040 AIVER.—Paragraph (1) may be waived 11
4141 or suspended in the Senate only by the affirmative 12
4242 vote of two-thirds of the Members, duly chosen and 13
4343 sworn.’’. 14
4444 SEC. 3. MEDICARE POINT OF ORDER. 15
4545 Section 301 of the Congressional Budget Act of 1974 16

6666 AIVER.—Paragraph (1) may be waived 6
