3434 NGENERAL.—Subchapter III of chapter 19 of 5
3535 title 38, United States Code, is amended by adding at the 6
3636 end the following new section: 7
3737 ‘‘§ 1980B. Periodic review of automatic maximum cov-8
3838 erage 9
3939 ‘‘(a) I
4040 NGENERAL.—On January 1, 2026, and every 10
4141 five years thereafter, the Secretary shall— 11
4242 ‘‘(1) complete a review of how the amount spec-12
4343 ified in section 1967(a)(3)(A)(i) compares to the 13
4444 amount described in subsection (b); and 14
4545 ‘‘(2) submit to the Committees on Veterans’ Af-15
4646 fairs of the House of Representatives and the Senate 16
4747 the results of the review, which may serve as a guide 17
4848 for coverage increases within the existing adminis-18
4949 trative incremental structure. 19
5050 ‘‘(b) A
5151 MOUNTDESCRIBED.—The amount described 20
5252 in this subsection is the amount equal to— 21
5353 ‘‘(1) $500,000; multiplied by 22
5454 ‘‘(2) the average percentage by which the Con-23
5555 sumer Price Index changed during the five fiscal 24
5656 years preceding the review under subsection (a). 25
