32 | 32 | | (1) the sanctions described in subsection (b)(1) 6 |

33 | 33 | | with respect to any foreign person the President de-7 |
---|
34 | 34 | | termines is— 8 |
---|
35 | 35 | | (A) a provincial, municipal, or other juris-9 |
---|
36 | 36 | | dictional police department or law enforcement 10 |
---|
37 | 37 | | institution in the People’s Republic of China, 11 |
---|
38 | 38 | | including the provincial police departments of 12 |
---|
39 | 39 | | Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region and 13 |
---|
40 | 40 | | Fujian; 14 |
---|
41 | 41 | | (B) a member of the senior leadership of 15 |
---|
42 | 42 | | a department or institution described in sub-16 |
---|
43 | 43 | | paragraph (A); 17 |
---|
44 | 44 | | (C) directly associated with establishing or 18 |

45 | 45 | | maintaining a Chinese police presence in the 19 |

72 | 72 | | scribed in this subsection with respect to a foreign person 16 |

76 | 76 | | exercise all of the powers granted by the Inter-19 |

78 | 78 | | U.S.C. 1701 et seq.) to the extent necessary to block 21 |
---|
79 | 79 | | and prohibit all transactions in all property and in-22 |
---|
80 | 80 | | terests in property of any foreign person described 23 |
---|
81 | 81 | | in subsection (a)(1) if such property and interests in 24 |
---|
