To amend the Communications Act of 1934 to prohibit Fed-
eral funding for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting,
and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-1
tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3
This Act may be cited as the ‘‘No Propaganda Act’’. 4
SEC. 2. PROHIBITION ON FEDERAL FUNDS FOR CORPORA-5
TION FOR PUBLIC BROADCASTING. 6
(a) I
NGENERAL.—Section 396 of the Communica-7
tions Act of 1934 (47 U.S.C. 396) is amended by adding 8
at the end the following: 9

‘‘(m) PROHIBITION ONFEDERALFUNDS.—No Fed-1
eral funds may be made available to the Corporation on 2
or after the date of enactment of the No Propaganda 3
Act.’’. 4
(b) C
ORPORATIONPROHIBITEDFROMACCEPTING 5
F
EDERALFUNDS.—Section 396(g) of the Communica-6
tions Act of 1934 (47 U.S.C. 396(g)) is amended— 7
(1) in paragraph (2)(A), by inserting ‘‘subject 8
to paragraph (3)(C),’’ before ‘‘obtain’’; and 9
(2) in paragraph (3)— 10
(A) in subparagraph (A), by striking ‘‘; 11
and’’ and inserting a semicolon; 12
(B) in subparagraph (B), by striking the 13
period at the end and inserting ‘‘; and’’; and 14
(C) by adding at the end the following: 15
‘‘(C) accepting funds from the Federal Govern-16
ment on or after the date of enactment of the No 17
Propaganda Act.’’. 18
(c) R
ESCISSION.—Any unobligated balances of 19
amounts made available under the heading ‘‘Corporation 20
for Public Broadcasting’’ in the Consolidated Appropria-21
tions Act, 2022 (Public Law 117–103; 136 Stat. 489), 22
the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2023 (Public Law 23
117–328; 136 Stat. 4901), or the Further Consolidated 24

Appropriations Act, 2024 (Public Law 118–47; 138 Stat. 1
696) are rescinded. 2
(d) C
ONFORMING AMENDMENT.—Section 3
396(k)(3)(A)(iv)(II) of the Communications Act of 1934 4
(47 U.S.C. 396(k)(3)(A)(iv)(II)) is amended by inserting 5
‘‘before the date of enactment of the No Propaganda Act’’ 6
after ‘‘amounts received’’. 7
