SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3
This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Making Agricultural 4
Products Locally Essential Act’’ or the ‘‘MAPLE Act’’. 5

MARKET NUTRITION PROGRAM. 2
Section 4402(b)(1) of the Farm Security and Rural 3
Investment Act of 2002 (7 U.S.C. 3007(b)(1)) is amended 4
by inserting ‘‘maple syrup,’’ before ‘‘and herbs’’. 5
