1717 SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3
1818 This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Foundation of the Fed-4
1919 eral Bar Association Charter Amendments Act of 2025’’. 5
2020 SEC. 2. ORGANIZATION. 6

8484 the life of the charter granted by this chapter. This 22
8585 subsection does not prevent the payment, in 23
8686 amounts approved by the board of directors, of— 24
8787 ‘‘(A) reasonable compensation; or 25

9595 ULE OF CONSTRUCTION .—This sub-4

9797 ‘‘(A) prevent the award of a grant to a 6
9898 Federal Bar Association chapter of which an of-7
9999 ficer, director, or member may be a member; or 8

101101 compensation to the corporation’s employees for 10
102102 services undertaken on behalf of the corpora-11

105105 OANS.—The corporation may not make a loan 13
106106 to a director, officer, member, or employee. 14

108108 MMUNITYFROMLIABILITY.—Members and pri-15
109109 vate individuals are not liable for the obligations of the 16
110110 corporation. 17

113113 THORITY.—The corporation— 19
114114 ‘‘(1) may not claim congressional approval or 20
115115 the authority of the United States Government for 21

133133 SEC. 8. DEPOSIT OF ASSETS ON DISSOLUTION OR FINAL 13

135135 Section 70512 of title 36, United States Code, is 15
136136 amended to read as follows: 16
137137 ‘‘§ 70512. Deposit of assets on dissolution or final liq-17
138138 uidation 18
139139 ‘‘On dissolution or final liquidation of the corpora-19
140140 tion, any assets of the corporation remaining after the dis-20
141141 charge of all liabilities shall be distributed— 21
142142 ‘‘(a) as provided by the board of directors; and 22
143143 ‘‘(b) in compliance with the charter and bylaws.’’. 23
144144 SEC. 9. DETERMINATION OF BUDGETARY EFFECTS. 24
145145 The budgetary effects of this Act, for the purpose of 25
146146 complying with the Statutory Pay-As-You-Go Act of 2010, 26
