To amend the Act of June 22, 1948.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-1
tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2
SECTION 1. APPRAISALS. 3
Section 5 of the Act of June 22, 1948 (commonly 4
known as the ‘‘Thye-Blatnik Act’’) (62 Stat. 570, chapter 5
593; 16 U.S.C. 577g), is amended by striking ‘‘of the fair 6
appraised value of such’’ and inserting ‘‘of the highest fair 7
appraised value, including historical fair appraised values, 8
as determined by the Secretary of Agriculture in accord-9
ance with this section, of such’’. 10
