3434 ECRETARY.—The term ‘‘Secretary’’ means 4
3535 the Secretary of Agriculture, acting through the 5
3636 Chief of the Forest Service. 6

3838 ONVEYANCEREQUIRED.—Subject to this sec-7
3939 tion, if the County submits to the Secretary a written re-8
4040 quest for conveyance of the property described in sub-9
4141 section (c) not later than 180 days after the date of enact-10
4242 ment of this Act, the Secretary shall convey to the County 11
4343 all right, title, and interest of the United States in and 12
4444 to the property described in subsection (c). 13

4646 ESCRIPTION OFPROPERTY.— 14

4848 N GENERAL.—The property referred to in 15
4949 subsection (b) is the parcel of real property, includ-16
5050 ing all land and improvements, generally depicted as 17
5151 ‘‘Gila County Area’’ on the map, consisting of ap-18
5252 proximately 232.9 acres of National Forest System 19
5353 land located in the Tonto National Forest in Ari-20
5454 zona. 21

5858 INOR ERRORS.—The Secretary may 23
5959 correct minor errors in the map. 24

6363 (B) AVAILABILITY.—A copy of the map 1
6464 shall be on file and available for public inspec-2
6565 tion in the appropriate offices of the Forest 3
6666 Service. 4

6868 URVEY.—The exact acreage and legal de-5
6969 scription of the National Forest System land to be 6
7070 conveyed under subsection (b) shall be determined 7
7171 by a survey satisfactory to the Secretary. 8
7272 (d) T
7373 ERMS AND CONDITIONS.—The conveyance 9
7474 under subsection (b) shall be— 10
7575 (1) subject to valid existing rights; 11
7676 (2) made without consideration; 12
7777 (3) made by quitclaim deed; and 13
7878 (4) subject to such other terms and conditions 14
7979 as the Secretary considers to be appropriate to pro-15
8080 tect the interests of the United States. 16

8282 OSTS OFCONVEYANCE.—As a condition of the 17
8383 conveyance under subsection (b), the County shall pay all 18
8484 costs associated with the conveyance, including the cost 19
8585 of— 20
8686 (1) a survey, if necessary, under subsection 21
8787 (c)(3); 22
8888 (2) any environmental analysis or resource sur-23
8989 vey required under Federal law; and 24

9494 sion A of subtitle III of title 54, United States Code 2
9595 (commonly referred to as the ‘‘National Historic 3
9696 Preservation Act’’). 4

9898 NVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS.—Notwith-5
9999 standing section 120(h)(3)(A) of the Comprehensive Envi-6
100100 ronmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act of 7
101101 1980 (42 U.S.C. 9620(h)(3)(A)), the Secretary shall not 8
102102 be required to provide any covenant or warranty for the 9
103103 land and improvements conveyed to the County under sub-10
104104 section (b). 11

106106 SE OFLAND; REVERSION.— 12
107107 (1) I
108108 N GENERAL.—The land conveyed to the 13
109109 County under subsection (b) shall be used by the 14
110110 County only for the purposes of serving and sup-15
111111 porting veterans of the Armed Forces. 16
112112 (2) R
113113 EVERSION.—If any land conveyed under 17
114114 subsection (b) is used in a manner that is incon-18
115115 sistent with the requirements of paragraph (1), all 19
116116 right, title, and interest in and to the land shall re-20
117117 vert to the United States, at the discretion of the 21
118118 Secretary. 22
