14	14	improve that Act, and for other purposes.
15	15	Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-1
16	16	tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2
17	17	SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3
18	18	This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Tribal Forest Protec-4
19	19	tion Act Amendments Act of 2025’’. 5
20	20	SEC. 2. TRIBAL FOREST PROTECTION ACT OF 2004 AMEND-6
21	21	MENTS. 7
22	22	Section 2 of the Tribal Forest Protection Act of 2004 8
23	23	(25 U.S.C. 3115a) is amended— 9

29	29	‘‘(2) I
30	30	NDIAN FOREST LAND OR RANGELAND .— 3
31	31	The term ‘Indian forest land or rangeland’ means— 4
32	32	‘‘(A) land that is held in trust by, or with 5
33	33	a restriction against alienation by, the United 6
34	34	States for an Indian tribe or a member of an 7
35	35	Indian tribe, and— 8
36	36	‘‘(i) is Indian forest land (as defined 9
37	37	in section 304 of the National Indian For-10
38	38	est Resources Management Act (25 U.S.C. 11
39	39	3103)); 12
40	40	‘‘(ii) has a cover of grasses, brush, or 13
41	41	any similar vegetation; or 14
42	42	‘‘(iii) formerly had a forest cover or 15
43	43	vegetative cover that is capable of restora-16
44	44	tion; and 17
45	45	‘‘(B) land that is in the State of Alaska 18
46	46	and held by an Alaska Native Corporation pur-19
47	47	suant to the Alaska Native Claims Settlement 20
48	48	Act (43 U.S.C. 1601 et seq.).’’; 21
49	49	(2) in subsection (b)— 22
50	50	(A) in the subsection heading, by inserting 23
51	51	‘‘
52	52	ORRESTORE’’ after ‘‘PROTECT’’; 24

78	78	historical, or cultural significance to the Indian tribe 22

96	96	by striking ‘‘Forest Service or Bureau of Land 13
97	97	Management’’ and inserting ‘‘Federal’’; 14
98	98	(4) in subsection (g), by striking ‘‘date of en-15
99	99	actment of this Act’’ and inserting ‘‘date of enact-16
100	100	ment of the Tribal Forest Protection Act Amend-17
101	101	ments Act of 2025’’; and 18
102	102	(5) by adding at the end the following: 19
103	103	‘‘(h) A
104	104	UTHORIZATION OF APPROPRIATIONS.—There 20
105	105	is authorized to be appropriated to carry out this Act 21
106	106	$15,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2026 through 2031.’’. 22
