SECTION 1. MODIFICATIONS TO AND REAUTHORIZATION 1
OF THE STAFF SERGEANT PARKER GORDON 2
FOX SUICIDE PREVENTION GRANT PROGRAM 3
OF THE DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AF-4
FAIRS. 5
(a) T
ASKFORCE.—Section 201 of the Commander 6
John Scott Hannon Veterans Mental Health Care Im-7
provement Act of 2019 (38 U.S.C. 1720F note; Public 8
Law 116–171) is amended— 9
(1) in subsection (b), by striking ‘‘the Presi-10
dent’s Roadmap to Empower Veterans and End a 11
National Tragedy of Suicide Task Force’’ and in-12
serting ‘‘such entities as the Secretary considers ap-13
propriate’’; and 14
(2) in subsection (h)(3)(L), by striking ‘‘the 15
President’s Roadmap to Empower Veterans and End 16
a National Tragedy of Suicide Task Force,’’. 17
(b) M
AXIMUM GRANT AMOUNT.—Subsection 18
(c)(2)(A) of such section is amended by striking 19
‘‘$750,000’’ and inserting ‘‘$1,250,000’’. 20
(c) M
EASURES ANDMETRICS.—Subsection (h)(2) of 21
such section is amended by adding at the end the following 22
new subparagraph: 23
‘‘(C) Additional measures and metrics as 24
the Secretary considers appropriate to ensure 25

that the measures and metrics described in this 1
paragraph— 2
‘‘(i) accurately reflect the aims of the 3
grant program under this section; 4
‘‘(ii) provide accountability to Con-5
gress related to grant funds; and 6
‘‘(iii) reflect lessons learned from in-7
terim reporting on and evaluation of the 8
grant program.’’. 9
(d) B
RIEFINGS.—Subsection (h) of such section is 10
amended by adding at the end the following new para-11
graph: 12
‘‘(5) B
RIEFING FOR LOCAL VAMCS .—Not less 13
frequently than once each year, the Secretary shall 14
provide, to the appropriate personnel of each medical 15
center of the Department located not more than 100 16
miles from the primary location of a grantee under 17
this section, a briefing about the grant program 18
under this section in order to improve coordination 19
between such grantee and personnel.’’. 20
(e) D
URATION.—Subsection (j) of such section is 21
amended by striking ‘‘the date that is three years after 22
the date on which the first grant is awarded under this 23
section’’ and inserting ‘‘September 30, 2028’’. 24

(f) REAUTHORIZATION.—Subsection (p) of such sec-1
tion is amended by striking ‘‘a total of $174,000,000 for 2
fiscal years 2021 through 2025’’ and inserting 3
‘‘$285,000,000 for the period of fiscal years 2026 through 4
2028’’. 5
(g) E
LIGIBLEINDIVIDUALS.—Subsection (q)(4)(C) 6
of such section is amended by striking ‘‘(iv)’’ and inserting 7
‘‘(vi)’’. 8
