To require the Secretary of Agriculture, in consultation with
the United States Trade Representative, to develop and
finalize a vaccination strategy for poultry.

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3
This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Avian Flu Vaccination 4
Strategy Act’’. 5
SEC. 2. VACCINATION STRATEGY FOR POULTRY. 6
(a) D
ETERMINATION OF STRATEGY.—Not later than 7
180 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, to 8
address highly pathogenic avian influenza, the Secretary 9

of Agriculture, in consultation with the United States 1
Trade Representative, shall develop a strategy for the vac-2
cination of poultry that is in compliance with all applicable 3
rules of the World Trade Organization. 4

INALIZATION OFSTRATEGY.—Not later than 1 5
year after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Sec-6
retary of Agriculture shall finalize the strategy developed 7
under subsection (a). 8
