2020 SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3
2121 This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Protect our Parks Act 4
2222 of 2025’’. 5
2323 SEC. 2. DEFINITIONS. 6
2424 In this Act: 7

2626 ECRETARY.—The term ‘‘Secretary’’ means 8

3131 (2) SERVICE.—The term ‘‘Service’’ means the 1
3232 National Park Service. 2
3333 SEC. 3. NATIONAL PARK SERVICE STAFFING AND PER-3

3535 As soon as practicable after the date of enactment 5
3636 of this Act, using funds previously appropriated to the 6
3737 Secretary for such purposes, the Secretary shall— 7
3838 (1) take such actions as are necessary— 8
3939 (A) to ensure that the units of the Na-9
4040 tional Park System are fully staffed to ensure 10
4141 visitor safety and enjoyment and natural and 11
4242 cultural resource protection at the units of the 12
4343 National Park System; and 13
4444 (B) to ensure that all maintenance staff 14
4545 positions at the Service are filled; and 15
4646 (2) reinstate any individuals who were involun-16
4747 tarily removed or otherwise terminated from employ-17
4848 ment with the Service during the period beginning 18
4949 on January 20, 2025, and ending on February 25, 19
5050 2025. 20
5151 SEC. 4. CONTINUATION OF AUTHORIZED NATIONAL PARK 21
5252 SERVICE PROJECTS. 22
5353 The Secretary shall have the authority to continue 23
5454 to carry out any Service project for which funds are au-24
5555 thorized or appropriated under— 25
