To strengthen the United States Interagency Council on
Homelessness.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-1
tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2
SECTION 1. AUTHORIZATION OF APPROPRIATIONS FOR 3
INTERAGENCY COUNCIL ON HOMELESSNESS. 4
(a) I
NGENERAL.—Title II of the McKinney-Vento 5
Homeless Assistance Act (42 U.S.C. 11311 et seq.) is 6
amended— 7
(1) in section 208 (42 U.S.C. 11318), by strik-8
ing ‘‘to carry out this title $3,000,000 for fiscal year 9
2010 and such sums as may be necessary for fiscal 10

years 2011’’ and inserting ‘‘such sums as may be 1
necessary to carry out this title’’; 2
(2) by striking section 209 (42 U.S.C. 11319); 3
and 4
(3) by redesignating section 210 (42 U.S.C. 5
11320) as section 209. 6

ECHNICAL ANDCONFORMINGAMENDMENTS.— 7
The table of contents in section 101(b) of the McKinney- 8
Vento Homeless Assistance Act (42 U.S.C. 11301 note) 9
is amended by striking the items relating to sections 209 10
and 210 and inserting the following: 11
‘‘Sec. 209. Encouragement of State involvement.’’.
