3636 Expressing gratitude to the Joint Congressional Committee

3939 enforcement officers, emergency personnel, and volun-
4040 teers for their support in making the Presidential Inau-

4545 Whereas, on January 20, 2025, the inauguration of the 47th
4646 President of the United States, President Donald J.
4747 Trump (referred to in this preamble as the ‘‘Presidential
4848 Inauguration’’), took place under unique and challenging
4949 circumstances, requiring the relocation of certain events
5050 indoors due to unseasonably cold weather;
5151 Whereas, during the Presidential Inauguration, the Joint
5252 Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies, the
5353 Architect of the Capitol, the Sergeant at Arms, the Sec-
5454 retary of the Senate, law enforcement officers, emergency
5555 personnel, and volunteers displayed exceptional dedication
5656 and professionalism in adapting to unforeseen challenges
5757 to guarantee the safety, security, and smooth operation
5858 of all inaugural events;
5959 Whereas the tireless efforts of the Joint Congressional Com-
6060 mittee on Inaugural Ceremonies, the Architect of the
6161 Capitol, the Sergeant at Arms, the Secretary of the Sen-
6262 ate, law enforcement officers, emergency personnel, and
6363 volunteers during the Presidential Inauguration facili-
6464 tated a historic and dignified transfer of power, reflecting
6565 the best traditions of the United States;
6666 Whereas the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural
6767 Ceremonies, the Architect of the Capitol, the Sergeant at
6868 Arms, and the Secretary of the Senate spent years plan-
6969 ning and preparing for the events of the Presidential In-
7070 auguration and executed that plan flawlessly, even with
7171 unforeseen challenges;
7272 Whereas the cold weather during the Presidential Inaugura-
7373 tion presented additional logistical and operational dif-
7474 ficulties, which were overcome through extraordinary
7575 commitment and teamwork; and

8383 sonnel, and volunteers allowed attendees of the Presi-
8484 dential Inauguration to celebrate the momentous occasion
8585 in a safe and secure environment: Now, therefore, be it
