37	37	through February 22, 2025, as ‘‘National FFA Week’’,
38	38	recognizing the important role of the National FFA Or-
39	39	ganization in developing the next generation of leaders
40	40	who will change the world, and celebrating the 90th

47	47	Whereas the National FFA Organization (referred to in this
48	48	preamble as ‘‘FFA’’) was established in 1928;
49	49	Whereas the mission of FFA is to make a positive difference
50	50	in the lives of students by developing their potential for
51	51	premier leadership, personal growth, and career success
52	52	through agricultural education;
53	53	Whereas the FFA has more than 1,000,000 members in
54	54	9,235 chapters in all 50 States, the Commonwealth of
55	55	Puerto Rico, the United States Virgin Islands, and the
56	56	District of Columbia;
57	57	Whereas FFA welcomes all students;
58	58	Whereas more than 13,000 FFA advisors and agricultural
59	59	education teachers deliver an integrated model of agricul-
60	60	tural education, providing students with an innovative
61	61	and cutting-edge education;
62	62	Whereas FFA facilitates formative experiences, altering the
63	63	course of students’ lives for the better;
64	64	Whereas FFA members develop the necessary career-readi-
65	65	ness skills to continue their education in college or to
66	66	enter the workforce immediately;
67	67	Whereas FFA prepares members to be globally conscious citi-
68	68	zens of their community, their State, their country, and
69	69	the world;
70	70	Whereas FFA provides opportunities to demonstrate literacy,
71	71	advocacy, and technical skills in agriculture, food, and
72	72	natural resources; and

76	76	Whereas FFA members will celebrate ‘‘National FFA Week’’
77	77	during the week of February 15 through February 22,
78	78	2025: Now, therefore, be it
79	79	Resolved, That the Senate— 1
80	80	(1) supports the designation of February 15 2
81	81	through February 22, 2025, as ‘‘National FFA 3
82	82	Week’’; 4
83	83	(2) recognizes the important role of the Na-5
84	84	tional FFA Organization in developing the next gen-6
85	85	eration of leaders who will change the world; 7
86	86	(3) celebrates the 90th anniversary of New 8
87	87	Farmers of America which served Black vocational 9
88	88	agriculture students in segregated public schools, 10
89	89	until NFA and FFA became one organization in 11
90	90	1965; and 12
91	91	(4) commemorates the 75th anniversary of 13
92	92	President Harry S. Truman signing into law the bill 14
93	93	that provided the Federal charter for the Future 15
94	94	Farmers of America on August 30, 1950. 16
