35 | 35 | | 28 (1) "Emergency medical services" [is as] means the same as that term is defined in |

36 | 36 | | 29Section 26-8a-102. |
---|
37 | 37 | | 30 (2) "Federally qualified health center" is as defined in 42 U.S.C. Sec. 1395x. |
---|
38 | 38 | | 31 (3) "Freestanding urgent care center" means a facility that provides outpatient health |
---|
39 | 39 | | 32care service: |
---|
40 | 40 | | 33 (a) on an as-needed basis, without an appointment; |
---|
41 | 41 | | 34 (b) to the public; |
---|
42 | 42 | | 35 (c) for the diagnosis and treatment of a medical condition if that medical condition |
---|
43 | 43 | | 36does not require hospitalization or emergency intervention for a life threatening or potentially |
---|
44 | 44 | | 37permanently disabling condition; and |
---|
45 | 45 | | 38 (d) including one or more of the following services: |
---|
46 | 46 | | 39 (i) a medical history physical examination; |
---|
47 | 47 | | 40 (ii) an assessment of health status; or |
---|
48 | 48 | | 41 (iii) treatment: |
---|
49 | 49 | | 42 (A) for a variety of medical conditions; and |
---|
50 | 50 | | 43 (B) that is commonly offered in a physician's office. |
---|
51 | 51 | | 44 (4) "Nursing care facility" [is as] means the same as that term is defined in Section |
---|
52 | 52 | | 4526-21-2. |
---|
53 | 53 | | 46 (5) "Rural city hospital" means a hospital owned by a city that is located within a third, |
---|
54 | 54 | | 47fourth, fifth, or sixth class county. |
---|
55 | 55 | | 48 (6) "Rural county health care facility" means a: |
---|
56 | 56 | | 49 (a) rural county hospital; or |
---|
57 | 57 | | 50 (b) rural county nursing care facility. |
---|
58 | 58 | | 51 (7) "Rural county hospital" means a hospital owned by a county that is: |
---|
59 | 59 | | 52 (a) a third, fourth, fifth, or sixth class county, as defined in Section 17-50-501; and |
---|
60 | 60 | | 53 (b) located outside of a standard metropolitan statistical area, as designated by the |
---|
61 | 61 | | 54United States Bureau of the Census. |
---|
62 | 62 | | 55 (8) "Rural county nursing care facility" means a nursing care facility owned by: |
---|
63 | 63 | | 56 (a) a county that is: |
---|
64 | 64 | | 57 (i) a third, fourth, fifth, or sixth class county, as defined in Section 17-50-501; and |
---|

68 | 68 | | 60 (b) a special service district if the special service district is: |

69 | 69 | | 61 (i) created for the purpose of operating the nursing care facility; and |

---|
71 | 71 | | 63 (A) a third, fourth, fifth, or sixth class county, as defined in Section 17-50-501; and |
---|
72 | 72 | | 64 (B) located outside of a standard metropolitan statistical area, as designated by the |
---|
73 | 73 | | 65United States Census Bureau. |
---|
74 | 74 | | 66 (9) "Rural emergency medical services" means emergency medical services that are |
---|
75 | 75 | | 67provided by a county that is: |
---|
76 | 76 | | 68 (a) a [fifth] third, fourth, fifth, or sixth class county, as defined in Section 17-50-501; |
---|

---|
78 | 78 | | 70 (b) located outside of a standard metropolitan statistical area, as designated by the |
