35 | 40 | | 33 Section 1. Section 26-10-16 is enacted to read: |

36 | 41 | | 34 26-10-16. Tardive dyskinesia. |
---|
37 | 42 | | 35 With respect to tardive dyskinesia, the department shall report on the following to the |
---|
38 | 43 | | 36Health and Human Services Interim Committee before November 1, 2023: |
---|
39 | 44 | | 37 (1) resources available to help health care providers, including mental health providers, |
---|
40 | 45 | | 38accurately diagnose and appropriately treat tardive dyskinesia; |
---|
41 | 46 | | 39 (2) resources available to help an individual with tardive dyskinesia, and the |
---|
42 | 47 | | 40individual's caregivers, respond to the functional and social challenges posed by the condition; |
---|
43 | 48 | | 41 (3) options for improving screening, diagnosis, and treatment of tardive dyskinesia, |
---|
44 | 49 | | 42including actions the department may take on behalf of: |
---|
45 | 50 | | 43 (a) residents of the state generally; |
---|
46 | 51 | | 44 (b) Medicaid program enrollees; and |
---|
47 | 52 | | 45 (c) individuals receiving services under a local mental health authority, as defined in |
---|
48 | 53 | | 46Section 62A-15-102; and |
---|
49 | 54 | | 47 (4) the potential costs and benefits of implementing the options reported under |
---|
50 | 55 | | 48Subsection (3). |
---|
51 | 56 | | 49 Section 2. Section 26-18-13.5 is amended to read: |

52 | 57 | | 50 26-18-13.5. Reimbursement of telemedicine services, audio-only telehealth |
---|
53 | 58 | | 51services and telepsychiatric consultations. |

54 | 59 | | 52 (1) As used in this section: |

55 | 60 | | 53 (a) "Telehealth services" means the same as that term is defined in Section 26-60-102. |

71 | 76 | | 68 (a) a managed care organization that contracts with the Medicaid program; and |
---|
72 | 77 | | 69 (b) a provider who is reimbursed for health care services under the Medicaid program. |

73 | 78 | | 70 (3) The Medicaid program shall reimburse for telemedicine services at the same rate |

74 | 79 | | 71that the Medicaid program reimburses for other health care services. |

75 | 80 | | 72 (4) The Medicaid program shall reimburse for audio-only telehealth services as |
