General Description:

This bill modifies provisions related to state grants.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:

Section 1.  Section 63G-6b-202 is enacted to read:
20 
63G-6b-202 . Administration costs.
21 
(1) Upon request from a grantee, an administering agency shall disclose in writing any
22 
amount of the grant's grant appropriation that the administering agency used or retained H.B. 223	Enrolled Copy
23 
to pay costs of administering the grant.
24 
(2) An administering agency shall include in a disclosure under Subsection (1):
25 
(a) the total number of work hours needed to administer the grant;
26 
(b) the average per hour cost of the time described in Subsection (2)(a);
27 
(c) any other costs associated with administering the grant, including any outside vendor
28 
or consultant charges; and
29 
(d) the total amount the administering agency used or retained to pay costs of
30 
administering the grant.

(3) An administering agency shall provide a copy of any disclosure provided under this
32 
section to the appropriations subcommittee with jurisdiction over the grant appropriation.

Section 2.  Effective Date.
34 
This bill takes effect on May 7, 2025.
