4141 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:

4343 Section 1. Section 41-1a-233 is enacted to read:

4545 41-1a-233 . Conditional registration for new commercial motor vehicles.

4747 (1) As used in this part:

4949 (a) "Manufacturer's statement of origin" means a statement or certificate from the motor

5151 vehicle manufacturer that shows:

5353 (i) the date of sale from the manufacturer to the first purchaser;

5555 (ii) the name of the first purchaser;

5757 (iii) a description of the motor vehicle, including the year, make, model, and vehicle

7374 (2) The division may issue a conditional registration for a new motor vehicle that is a

8384 (iii) is entitled to a manufacturer statement of origin;

8788 (v) has paid all applicable taxes and fees for the vehicle; and
