Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. ยง1. That the Joint Legislative Audit and Review Commission (JLARC) shall conduct a review of the Department of Human Resource Management's Grievance Procedure Manual as it pertains to employees of the Department of Corrections (DOC) and Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ). In conducting such review, JLARC shall evaluate the effectiveness of such grievance procedures to account for the diverse needs of employees of DOC and DJJ. JLARC shall report its findings and recommendations to the Chairmen of the Senate Committee on General Laws and Technology and the House Committee on General Laws by November 1, 2024.
