Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 63.2-503.2 as follows:
63.2-503.2. Immigration status inquiry for public assistance applications.
As permitted by federal law, the local director or Commissioner shall inquire as to the immigration status of all persons applying for public assistance benefits administered by the Department.
