Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding in Article 3 of Chapter 1 of Title 29.1 a section numbered 29.1-115 as follows:
29.1-115. Use of a safety monitoring device; Fox Hill Boat Ramp.
The Department may place and operate a safety monitoring device at the Fox Hill Boat Ramp in the City of Hampton for the purpose of safety monitoring on state-owned property. For purposes of this section, "safety monitoring device" means a camera that uses machine learning to capture (i) license plate information or other visible characteristics of a vehicle and (ii) photographs, microphotographs, videotapes, or other recorded images.
