1519 WHEREAS, Holly Jennings King, a beloved daughter, sister, wife, friend, and member of the Craig County community, died on September 27, 2024; and

1721 WHEREAS, Holly King discovered a talent for dance at a young age, performing in The Nutcracker with the Richmond City Ballet for three seasons, and was also an accomplished martial artist, holding a black belt in karate; and

1923 WHEREAS, Holly King was a dedicated student who studied at Pulaski County High School, Eastern Montgomery High School, and the Appomattox Regional Governor's School for the Arts and Technology in Petersburg before earning a degree from Radford University; and

2125 WHEREAS, after a series of adventures in various locales, Holly King returned to the New River Valley, the place she truly called home; and

2327 WHEREAS, Holly King's warmth, empathy, and compassion for others brightened countless people's lives as she supported many in their time of need and encouraged all who knew her to embrace their true, authentic selves; and

2529 WHEREAS, Holly King will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by her loving husband, Jude; her parents, Richard and Susan; her brothers, Ritchie and Harrison, and their families; and numerous other family members and friends; now, therefore, be it

2731 RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly hereby note with great sadness the loss of Holly Jennings King, a treasured member of the Craig County community whose joy, energy, and passion for life will continue to inspire others for years to come; and, be it

2933 RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the family of Holly Jennings King as an expression of the General Assembly's respect for her memory.
