1519 WHEREAS, Thomas Clyde Evelyn, a successful entrepreneur and a beloved husband, father, and grandfather in New Kent County, died on July 29, 2024; and

17-WHEREAS, Thomas Tom Clyde Evelyn graduated magna cum laude from the University of Richmond and returned to Providence Forge, where he applied his knowledge and insights to the family timber business, C.H. Evelyn Piling Company; and

1923 WHEREAS, Tom Evelyn's entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish Charles City Forest Products in Charles City County; the company grew and expanded under his outstanding leadership, and several of his children followed in his footsteps by joining the business; and

2125 WHEREAS, Tom Evelyn's multiple ventures became integral parts of the local economy in the region, creating jobs and new opportunities for local residents; and

2327 WHEREAS, outside of his career, Tom Evelyn was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and anything that allowed him to reconnect with nature; and

2529 WHEREAS, Tom Evelyn especially loved spending time with family and friends, and his proudest accomplishments were those as a husband, father, and grandfather; and

2731 WHEREAS, Tom Evelyn will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his wife of 48 years, Emily; his children, Thomas, Patrick, Emily, and Caroline, and their families; and numerous other family members and friends; now, therefore, be it

2933 RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly hereby note with great sadness the loss of Thomas Clyde Evelyn, a respected business owner and highly admired resident of New Kent County; and, be it
