1721 WHEREAS, Terry Arbogast began his career in education in 1991 teaching mathematics with Fauquier County Public Schools and six years later transferred to Southwest Virginia to take a position as assistant principal at Narrows High School in Giles County; and

1923 WHEREAS, Terry Arbogast contributed greatly to the success of Narrows High School's students both in his capacity as assistant principal between 1997 and 2001 and as principal from 2001 to 2002; and

2125 WHEREAS, following an appointment to serve as deputy superintendent of Giles County Public Schools between 2002 and 2004, Terry Arbogast was named the school division's superintendent, a position in which he faithfully served until his retirement; and

2327 WHEREAS, beyond his work as an administrator, Terry Arbogast promoted the health and well-being of his students as a coach for the softball, football, basketball, and golf teams; and

2529 WHEREAS, Terry Arbogast served as a leader at the Region VII level through his roles as Region VII chair and vice chair, as a representative to the State Superintendent's Leadership Committee and the Virginia High School League, and as a member of the Virginia Association of School Superintendents' legislative committee; and

2731 WHEREAS, Terry Arbogast advanced education in the Commonwealth and beyond through his involvement with the Virginia Association of School Superintendents; AASA, The School Superintendents Association; the Western Virginia Public Education Consortium; and the Southwest Virginia Governor's School, where he was superintendent-in-charge; and
