Commending the Culture Cup.

WHEREAS, the Culture Cup, a coffee shop in Gainesville, fosters a more unified society by honoring and celebrating African American art, history, and culture; and
WHEREAS, the Culture Cup was established by Nikki Brown, who discovered the rich history and heritage of African American communities in Northern Virginia while serving as a community outreach worker for Fairfax County; and
WHEREAS, beginning in 2018, Nikki Brown envisioned a welcoming space that would preserve the stories of African American families and neighborhoods in Prince William County and throughout the region; and
WHEREAS, in addition to serving delicious coffee drinks, sandwiches, and pastries, Nikki Brown has made the Culture Cup a focal point of local life, demonstrating the utmost commitment to community enrichment and cultural preservation; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend the Culture Cup for its service to Gainesville residents as both a coffee shop and community gathering place that promotes unity and diversity; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Nikki Brown, founder of the Culture Cup, as an expression of the General Assembly's admiration for its mission to uplift and inspire members of the community through cultural exchange.
