15	19		WHEREAS, Joan Woltz Robins, a dedicated volunteer leader who touched countless lives in the Richmond area through her grace and kindness, died on June 27, 2024; and

17		-	WHEREAS, born in Mount Airy, North Carolina, Joan Joanie ~~Woltz~~ Robins attended what is now Hollins University in Roanoke before transferring to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she was a proud member of Pi Beta Phi; and

19	23		WHEREAS, after receiving her bachelor's degree, Joanie Robins graduated from a paralegal training school in Philadelphia, then became a paralegal at the law firm of Hunton & Williams, now known as Hunton Andrews Kurth; and

21	25		WHEREAS, Joanie Robins worked diligently to enhance the quality of life in Richmond by offering her wisdom and leadership to a number of civic and service organizations, including as a board member of the Virginia Chapter of the National Kidney Foundation and the Junior League of Richmond; and

23	27		WHEREAS, Joanie Robins also served as president of the Junior Board of the Science Museum of Virginia, the Tuckahoe Garden Club of Westhampton, the Junior Board of Children's Hospital of Richmond, and The Woman's Club; and

25	29		WHEREAS, among many accolades for her achievements, Joanie Robins received the 2023 President's Award from The Woman's Club for her legacy of service to the club and its mission to educate, inspire, and uplift local women; and

27	31		WHEREAS, Joanie Robins enjoyed fellowship and worship with the congregation of St. Mary's Episcopal Church, where she served on the Altar Guild for 17 years; and

29	33		WHEREAS, Joanie Robins was a devoted mother and grandmother, and she was happiest while spending time with her family at her beach house on Figure Eight Island in North Carolina; and

31	35		WHEREAS, Joanie Robins will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by her husband of 46 years, William; her children, William, Jr., Howard, and Berkeley, and their families; and numerous other family members and friends; now, therefore, be it

33	37		RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly hereby note with great sadness the loss of Joan Woltz Robins, a highly admired member of the Richmond community; and, be it

35	39		RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the family of Joan Woltz Robins as an expression of the General Assembly's respect for her memory.
