2025 SESSION ENROLLED HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 705 Celebrating the life of Thomas Knapp Stone. Agreed to by the House of Delegates, February 18, 2025 Agreed to by the Senate, February 20, 2025 WHEREAS, Thomas Knapp Stone, a respected state employee and beloved member of the Richmond community, died on September 22, 2024; and WHEREAS, Thomas Stone was the son of Woodrow Wayne Stone and Winifred Marie Knapp and was a graduate of the Virginia School for the Deaf and the Blind; and WHEREAS, after earning a degree from Radford University, Thomas Stone dedicated himself to the success and prosperity of the Commonwealth as a Virginia state employee; and WHEREAS, Thomas Stone will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by his loving wife of 20 years, Mary Anne; his sisters, Eileen and Carole; and numerous other family members and friends; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly hereby note with great sadness the loss of Thomas Knapp Stone, a treasured member of the Richmond community whose kindness and generosity touched countless lives; and, be it RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the family of Thomas Knapp Stone as an expression of the General Assembly's respect for his memory.
