HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 735

Commending Aslin Beer Company.

WHEREAS, Aslin Beer Company, a beloved brewery serving the Herndon community and other locales throughout the Commonwealth, celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2025; and

WHEREAS, Aslin Beer Company was founded by Kai Leszkowicz and Andrew Kelley, who were introduced through their wives, both members of the Aslin family, and who quickly discovered a common affinity for home brewing and craft beer; and

WHEREAS, naming their new venture Aslin Beer Company after their shared connection, Kai Leszkowicz and Andrew Kelley opened a brewery and taproom in Herndon in 2015 that soon become a favorite spot for locals to gather; and

WHEREAS, from its first two-barrel nanobrewery, Aslin Beer Company has rapidly expanded over the past decade and now has locations in Herndon, Alexandria, Virginia Beach, Washington, D.C., and Pittsburgh; and

WHEREAS, Aslin Beer Company specializes in producing hazy India pale ales, such as its flagship brew Orange Starfish, and is consistently experimenting with new recipes, an approach that has yielded more than 400 unique concoctions over the brewery's history; and

WHEREAS, through its unwavering commitment to brewing quality beer and serving the community, Aslin Beer Company has helped to make Herndon a wonderful place to live, work, and enjoy a drink with friends; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend Aslin Beer Company on the occasion of its 10th anniversary; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Aslin Beer Company as an expression of the General Assembly's admiration for the company's contributions to Herndon and the Commonwealth.
