WHEREAS, Marta Keane, chief executive officer of the Jefferson Area Board for Aging, has retired after 12 years of service; and
WHEREAS, Marta Keane has demonstrated exceptional leadership by balancing compassion with sound business practices, thereby transforming the Jefferson Area Board for Aging (JABA) into a model agency for aging services; and
WHEREAS, Marta Keane's innovative vision and strategic foresight have expanded JABA's programs, enhancing support for seniors, adults with disabilities, and caregivers throughout the region; and
WHEREAS, under Marta Keane's guidance, JABA has successfully implemented pioneering initiatives, including advanced dementia care and community outreach programs, that have significantly improved the quality of life for countless individuals; and
WHEREAS, Marta Keane's unwavering commitment to community service, advocacy, and effective program management has earned widespread recognition from local officials, industry leaders, and community stakeholders; and
WHEREAS, Marta Keane's mentorship and dedication have not only strengthened the operational excellence of JABA, but have also inspired future leaders in the field of elder care; and
WHEREAS, Marta Keane's tireless efforts have ensured that JABA remains responsive to the evolving needs of an aging population, thereby reinforcing the agency's mission to support and dignify the lives of older community members; and
WHEREAS, Marta Keane has advanced JABA's mission to promote, establish, and preserve sustainable communities for healthy aging that benefit individuals of all ages and their families; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend Marta Keane for her legacy of service on the occasion of her retirement as chief executive officer of the Jefferson Area Board for Aging; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Marta Keane as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for her contributions to the Jefferson Area Board for Aging and the Commonwealth.
