HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 479
Commending Grayson County High School.
Agreed to by the House of Delegates, January 20, 2025
WHEREAS, in 2024, more than 120 seniors at Grayson County High School earned their diplomas and the school achieved a one hundred percent graduation rate for the third consecutive year; and
WHEREAS, Grayson County High School's perfect graduation rate is the result of the hard work and dedication of the school's students, many of whom will continue their education at a four-year university, community college, or trade school or through an internship at a local business; and
WHEREAS, the accomplishments of Grayson County High School were made possible by the unwavering commitment of the school's faculty and staff, who work closely with each student to monitor their progress and ensure that they have everything they need to succeed; and
WHEREAS, Grayson County High School has benefitted greatly from the support and assistance of the school's families and the entire Grayson County community, who have helped to cultivate a learning environment at Grayson County High School in which students and faculty may thrive; and
WHEREAS, on September 17, 2024, Lieutenant Governor Winsome Earle-Sears visited Grayson County High School to honor and praise the students and faculty for their remarkable achievement and to offer wisdom to guide them on their educational journeys; and
WHEREAS, the students of Grayson County High School leave school prepared for opportunities to attain fulfilling and worthwhile careers and to make meaningful contributions to their communities; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That Grayson County High School hereby be commended for graduating one hundred percent of its students over three consecutive years; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Grayson County High School as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for the school's achievements and best wishes for its continued success.
