2025 SESSION ENROLLED HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 506 Commending Aarav Chokshi. Agreed to by the House of Delegates, January 27, 2025 WHEREAS, Aarav Chokshi, a student at Princess Anne High School in Virginia Beach, was chosen as the Second Congressional District of Virginia's winner in the 2024 Congressional App Challenge; and WHEREAS, established in 2014, the annual Congressional App Challenge is an official initiative of the United States House of Representatives and one of the nation's most prestigious competitions for K-12 computer science; and WHEREAS, Aarav Chokshi and his classmate Andy Yang received first place honors for their app, VisuAI, which utilizes artificial intelligence technology to produce real-time descriptions of one's surroundings; and WHEREAS, Aarav Chokshi and Andy Yang's VisuAI app was designed to assist visually impaired individuals by providing them with a greater awareness of their environment; and WHEREAS, Aarav Chokshi has demonstrated remarkable talent, creativity, and dedication through his development of his VisuAI app and is on the path toward a bright future as an app developer and technology leader; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That Aarav Chokshi hereby be commended for being selected as the Second Congressional District of Virginia's winner in the 2024 Congressional App Challenge; and, be it RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Aarav Chokshi as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for his achievements and best wishes for his continued success.
